'Always in FEAR of an ICE raid': Delays in DACA renewals leave millions on EDGE
Angel Aguiluz came to USA when he was just 8 years old after his family was seeking emergency medical care for his brother. He did everything right: got good grades …in school, graduated college, paid taxes and now works at an electricity company. He’s one of the 500,000+ DACA recipients in the country since 2012. But now, a growing number of these legal residents are reporting a rise of challenges under the Trump Administration. MS NOW’s Maya Eaglin went to speak with Angel about these challenges and an immigration lawyer from We Are Casa de Maryland to learn more.
MS NOW reached out to USCIS for a comment on this story and spokesman Zach Kahler sent this statement: “Under the leadership of President Trump, USCIS is safeguarding the American people by more thoroughly screening and vetting all aliens. DACA does not confer any form of legal status in this country.”
